  1. Welcome to Breakthrough!

  3. How to play:
  4. Use your paddle to break the bricks.
  5.  
  6. Some bricks are white with black letters on them.  These give 
  7. you special power-ups.  Sometimes you need to click the mouse
  8. button to use a power-up.
  9.  
  10. To pause the game hit the spacebar.  To resume hit R on the keyboard.
  11.  
  12. To end the current game hit the escape key on the keyboard.
  13.  
  14. Two things happen when the ball hits the paddle.  The ball speeds 
  15. up and you lose 50 points.  So it is a good idea to try to hit as many
  16. bricks as you can before the ball hits the paddle again.
  17.  
  18. Power-ups:
  19. L = lasers: Click the mouse to fire a laser.
  20.  
  21. C = catch: The ball will stick to the paddle.  Click the mouse to 
  22. release the ball back into play.
  23.  
  24. R = reverse: This will make the paddle move in the reverse direction as the mouse.
  25.  
  26. N = nothing: This will make you lose any paddle power-ups (i.e. lasers, catch, and reverse).
  27.  
  28. S = slow:  This will make the ball move slower as soon as it hits the paddle.
  29.  
  30. F = fast:  This will make the ball move faster as soon as it hits the paddle.
